May 4th Is Global Star Wars Day

Star Wars Day is May 4th and the annual celebration of the 1977 George Lucas science fiction and space-opera film that changed the entire movie industry. The Star Wars soundtrack is the original motion picture music to the film composed and conducted by John Williams as performed by the London Symphony Orchestra. The soundtrack album was released by 20th Century Fox Records in the United States in June 1977 and peaked at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart while being awarded Platinum Record status. In 2004, the soundtrack album was preserved by the Library of Congress into the National Recording Registry, calling it "culturally, historically, and aesthetically significant". In the year 2005, the American Film Institute named the original Star Wars soundtrack as the most memorable music score of all time for an American film. It was a magic moment for me to be involved in such landmark piece!
