Hot Line Record Distributor co-owner Jim Crudgington was an aggressive marketer who was jointly responsible for establishing many hit records throughout the region. Feared by the weak and embraced by the mighty, Crudgington was a mover and shaker. Many recording artist never take into account the key roles played by these power brokers. Savvy promotion and marketing people knew all the right buttons to push when developing a hit record.
