Birthday Party for Keith Emerson at 30,000 Feet

"Birthday Party at 30,000 Feet." Here's the late Keith Emerson of the British Progressive Rock group 'Emerson, Lake and Palmer' as he flashes a big smile while being surprised with a birthday cake served to him on ELP's charter jet by the flight attendant from band members and with drummer Carl Palmer looking on. Read about the exciting days in the non-fiction memoir "The Rock Trenches" by Phillip Rauls and available in paperback or Kindle on Amazon Books. (photo (c) by phillip rauls)

Mike Pinera Is Still Rockin'

On New Year's Eve of this year of 2020 I had the distinct pleasure of hooking-up again with a former Atlantic Recording artist Mr. Mike Pinera of Blues Image ("Ride Captain Ride") and also of Iron Butterfly, The New Cactus Band, Son Of Cactus, Ramatan and The Alice Cooper Group. It should be further noted, Mike and I both lived in Miami in the early-to-mid 1970's during an enormous growth period of the development of rock music. Plus, no doubt, his good health and career longevity is a testimony of his clean living and being married to the same woman for 45 years. He is still making new music today via his downloads.
